Meet Your Counselor
Hi, I’m Pragya Agarwal, a licensed counselor and the founder of Ikshana Therapy.
“Ikshana” is a Sanskrit word meaning “to see,” “to perceive,” or “to gaze with insight and clarity.” It reflects the heart of my work — a deep commitment to truly seeing and understanding each person for who they are.
Life can feel overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to show up as your authentic self — whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating transitions, or managing mental health challenges. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where every part of you — mind, body, heart, and spirit — is valued and supported. I show up as a counselor with warmth, compassion, and curiosity, walking alongside you as we explore your journey together.
Rooted in cultural humility and a relational approach, my work honors your unique identity, strengths, values, and experiences. Drawing from my own intersectional identity as an South Asian woman and daughter of immigrants, I hold a particular passion for supporting BIPOC communities and helping clients navigate culturally specific challenges with care and understanding.
I would be honored to accompany you on your path toward healing, growth, and connection. Together, we can celebrate who you are, nurture your strengths, and move toward the life you want to create.
